Welcome to Special Offer On Like! This plugin is a powerful, conversion-driving tool that turns passive window shoppers into active buyers. By allowing customers to “Like” products, you instantly capture their intent, build their wishlist, and automatically send them personalized, time-sensitive discounts to close the sale.
Here is your complete guide to setting up and getting the most out of your new plugin.
1. Installation & License Activation
Before the plugin features will display on your store, you must activate your license.
- In your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New and click Upload Plugin.
- Upload the
.zipfile you downloaded from Boffin Studio and click Install Now, then Activate. - In your WordPress menu, go to the new Special Offers tab and click Settings.
- Click on the License tab.
- Paste your License Key (from your purchase email) and click Activate License.
(Note: If you claimed a 14-Day Free Trial, paste your trial key here. The plugin will automatically lock when the trial expires unless a premium key is purchased).
2. General Plugin Settings
Once activated, navigate to Special Offers > Settings > General to configure how the plugin behaves globally.
- Enable Plugin: A master switch to turn the frontend features (Hearts, Like Buttons, Popups) ON or OFF.
- Global Discount Percentage: The default percentage off a customer will receive when they like any product (e.g., enter
10for 10% off). - Expiration (Days): How long the customer has to claim the offer before it expires and disappears from their account.
- Email Template: Customize the automated email sent to the customer. You must use these exact tags to display dynamic data:
{product_name}– The name of the liked product.{regular_price}– The original price of the product.{offer_price}– The discounted special offer price.{expiry_days}– The number of days before the offer expires.{add_to_cart_link}– Generates the magic button that applies the discount.
3. Product-Specific Overrides (Custom Pricing)
Don’t want to use the Global Discount for a specific item? You can easily override the discount on a per-product basis!
- Go to Products > All Products and edit a product.
- Scroll down to the Product Data box (under the General tab).
- Look for the two new Special Offer fields:
- Special Offer Percentage Off (%): Overrides the global percentage for just this product.
- Special Offer Marked Down Price: A fixed-price offer (e.g., $45.00). Note: If you enter a price here, it overrides all percentage settings.
- Leave both fields blank if you want the product to use your Global Discount setting.
4. The Admin Dashboard & Analytics
Navigate to the main Special Offers menu to view your analytics and manage active offers.
- Top Row Metrics: Tracks your Total Sales generated exclusively from this plugin, your Acceptance Rate (how many offers actually convert to sales), and your current Active/Accepted counts.
- Active / Accepted / Expired Tabs: View exactly who received an offer, what product they liked, the exact price they were offered, and when it expires.
5. Sending “Direct Offers” to Customers
In addition to the automatic offers, you can manually send highly-customized, private offers to customers who have liked your products!
- Go to Special Offers > Send Direct Offers.
- This table shows a history of every customer and the products they have liked.
- Click the “Send Custom Offer” button next to a customer.
- A popup will appear. Enter a custom Quantity, a custom Price (per item), and a Shipping Charge.
- Pro-Tip: You can enter a negative number in the Shipping field (e.g.,
-5.00) to give them a shipping discount!

- Click Send Offer Now. The customer will instantly receive an email with an exclusive Add to Cart link for your custom deal.
6. Two-Way Messaging & Negotiations
Customers can click the “Message Seller” button directly on your product pages to ask questions or negotiate prices.
How to Reply and Attach Offers:
- When a customer messages you, you will receive an email alert.
- Go to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to Special Offers > Messages.
- Click “View Chat” next to the customer’s name.
- You will see a beautiful, full-page chat interface showing the conversation history.
- Type your reply in the box at the bottom.
- Optional: Before you click Send, you can fill out the Custom Offer boxes (Qty, Price, Shipping). If you do this, your reply will include an exclusive “Add to Cart” button right inside the chat!
7. The Customer Experience (Frontend)
Here is what your shoppers will experience on your storefront:
- The Heart Icon: Appears gracefully over product images in your shop grids, related products, and featured blocks.
- The Buttons: “Like & Get Offer” and “Message Seller” buttons appear securely on the Single Product page.
- Guest Protection: If a logged-out user clicks the heart, a beautiful popup prompts them to log in or register to claim their offer.
- My Account Integration: Three new tabs are automatically added to the customer’s WooCommerce My Account dashboard:
- My Special Offers: A table showing their active offers, exact prices, shipping discounts, and a 1-click “Add to Cart” button.
- Liked Products: Functions as a modern Wishlist. Customers can view saved products or click the red “X” to unlike them.
- Messages: A private inbox where they can chat with you and view custom offers you’ve attached to your replies.
